I Like Photography and Ceramics. Both provide an escape for when things get bad. So I guess art is my anti-drug because who knows what would happen if I didn't have it in my life. The more I nurture my art, the more it grows and shapes who I am.

I got my camera from criagslist...although I remember Greg saying that there were some camera stores up in the San Antonio/Austin area you could always check the internet for that too I suppose.

No problem. I have 2 semesters of ceramics under my belt and a really good instructor who let me experiment a lot. Copper reds were my favorite as we hardly had any and I loved their bright red colors. Had I a Decent camera and some real good lighting I would post my ceramics.

I tend to be more on the side of more earthtones and gritter stoneware than porcelain and highkey glazes like copper reds.

Currently I am experimenting with dipping objects in slip and firing them out so I am left with the form as a shell. Once I get a few successful firings I'll be sure to post some of the recent work.

Here is a tip to try next time you Try Ohata Kaki as a base then trail some Fake Mashiko slip on top. Looks beautiful on Ohata Kaki as well as Tenmoku. Works good on Stoneware and my Anagama Clay body.
